"It's more of an immortality thing than it is messing up the world of the dead for when a person dies. It's hard to explain. There's a lot of things that could happen." Ickaru glanced over at Tessara as she was looking at him. He was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable, he had never really held a conversation for this long, not even with Lady Death. "There's also more to it then just keeping the stones away from those that want to used them for what they weren't intended for."

"Well I am sure you are pretty good at it. I am thankful that you did not take mine though. I was wondering however, the humans with the Sight who you take the stones from, do they loose the Sight once the stone is removed?" The stone on the chain around his neck still unnerved her but Ickaru was interesting and she enjoyed talking with him. She could be herself around him without him calling her a monster or running away screaming. It was the most comfortable she had ever felt in the city, she had not felt this way since she left home.

Ickaru looked back in front of him, towards where he was walking. "Yes they do lose their sight but that's not always the only thing that happens when it is taken. Most of the time the death of the person is involved, but it all depends on how developed their sight is." He began biting at his lip.

"Then I am very thankful that you did not take mine. I don't blame you, it seems Lady Death controls much in this world and you are just doing your job. I was wondering why your eyes were so full of sorrow. Now I know." A tear slips down her cheek as she thinks of what he must go through each time he took a stone. Ickaru really was not all that bad, just a victim of bad circumstances..

"It doesn't bother me that much any more. It used to when i first started... It kind of just grows on you." After that Ickaru got quiet for a bit as he thought over everything that he could remember in his life. A lot of things have happened though he couldn't quite remember back to when he was younger. Most of him memories involved death in some way, shape, or form.

Tessara looks at him silently. He was brave to continue his job, she would not have the strength. However he seemed lonely, a misfit in their shared world. Having such a rare ability would be hard on anyone, at least her family understood, a little. But to be seemingly alone and fighting for a cause that weighed so heavily on the world, it had to take a great strength. She wanted to run over and give him a hug but she restrained herself not wanting to breach any personal space issues.

He scratched the back of his head and stopped walking. His stomach growled at him and he sighed, just now remembering that he hadn't eaten anything since he had been up. "...You hungry too? I could pay for dinner if you are. There's a lot of different places to eat."

"Yes, I am a bit peckish. What is your favorite restaurant around here? I do not get out much, as you can tell. Thank you for offering to pay, you don't have to but if you do I will not argue." Tessara smiles at him, he looked kind of cute standing there with his hair ruffled from the wind and his habit of rubbing the back of his head.

"There's a lot of things to see and do. I don't even think i've been around to all of the places around here. My favorite restaurant though would have to be... that one seafood restaurant that sits by the beach area." It took him a bit to think on what he favorite place to eat was but he got it out. He looked over at her and saw her smiling at him.

"Then we should go there. If one of the locals finds it to be one of the best restaurants in town it must be." Plus she loved to look out over the water, it seemed like the perfect venue. Tessara followed Ickaru and was suddenly glad that she had a guide in this city. One who also knew of the Supernatural and gave her warnings of whom to avoid. She did not realize how naive she was until coming here and meeting him.

Ickaru laughed at what Tesara said. "I'm sure that other's would disagree it's just my taste in food." He headed down the street to where the resurunt was. They weren't to far away from where it was. As they walked they passed the corner where the girl with the white blonde hair sat. He paid no attention to her and just kept walking. "So i can assume you can see ghost as well?"

"Yes, I was not sure at first if she was but now that I look she looks a bit to apparent in context to everything else. What happened to her?" Tessara looks at the ghost girl, her blonde hair was tangled, her dress dirty. It seemed out of place here and starkly contrasted with the cleanliness of the living passing by.

"No one alive knows, so i couldn't tell you. She just sits there on the corner like that. That's how she draws in her prey. Some one who sees ghost and doesn't know it wouldn't know the difference between the living and the dead." He glanced back at Tessara. "Don't go near her or pay to much attention to her or you'll get in her sights."

"Understood. Ghosts sound a lot like Fey in that right. Once they know you can see, you are in a whole lot of trouble. They were the main thing to be afraid of back home, the Fey. We learned at a young age that if we could see them to avoid eye contact and to carry iron with us at all times."

"Not all Ghosts are like that, but there are those few around here that will lure people to their death." They reached the front of the restaurant and Ickarue opened the door and held it open for Tessara. "She's just one of the nastier ones."
