"No, i don't, i work in a tall building at a desk job. Though most of the time i tend to fall asleep at my desk."
Ickaru didn't want to give too much away about himself. He worked so hard to keep most of his life a secret from most people. "Um... perhaps i could interest you in a tour of the city?" He gave her a slight smile, trying to actually seem nice.

"I would love a tour of the city!" She says with glee, her eyes lighting up. "I do not know anything about this place except for the campus and the bus route to the library." She hurriedly packs up her books and places them within her backpack. She waits for him to lead her out. "By the way, what is your name?"

Ickaru stood up and fixed the wrinkles in his shirt. "Eager aren't we to see what the city has to offer eh?" His red eye went back to being blue as he headed for the door. Glancing back over his shoulder at the girl he bit his lip trying to decide if he should give her his real name or not. There was no way that she could know that he had connections with Lady death, or so his mind thought, so he decided it would be alright. "...My name is Ickaru."

"Hello Ickaru." She says her magic swirling. "I am Tessara. How did you know that I was different?" she asks as she follows him out of the cafe. This Ickaru was strange and mysterious. She would have to stay on her toes around him.

Ickaru shrugged and headed down the street back the way of his office. He kept looking around for a place that had very few to no people at all as they walked. "It's just a knack i guess. A feeling i get when i got out for walks at night."

"At night? Is that the entity from which your ability is derived?" she asks of him following him into gradually less traveled areas. Soon they are in a secluded area, they had past the last people a while back. She stands oblivious to her peril, chatting on about the possible reason why his power is strongest at night.

"Not sure, I tend to sleep during the day. I just can't stay awake, but at night I'm awake so there's nothing else to do but wander around the city looking for people like you." Ickaru put his hand up on his chest feeling the small round stone that he carried around with him, on a necklace around his neck.

The inner beast sensed something she did not, a distracted hesitation within his voice. It reared its head again ready to protect its mistress. It made her magic flare but it was only visible to those who looked, those whose Sight went far beyond the basic True Sight. It settle over her like a cloak coating her with its essence acting as a shield from harm.

Ickaru looked around the area again making sure the no one was around. He let his hand fall down to his side and he allowed his red eye to look red again. He stopped walking and looked over his shoulder at her. "Is something wrong Miss Tessara?"

"I.... I don't know. This has never happened before. My abilities are all helter- skelter. My animal soul wants to come out, but my pendant should keep it at bay." she says a worried look on her face, her eyes flash to slitted pupils for a second, the round but jagged ones, then back to normal. She shivers but seems to control it.

Iakaru turned back around and started walking again. "Animal soul?" This might just be a slight set back to him. He wasn't really the fighting type if he had to try by force especially against something stronger and faster then him. His normal prey was just humans that had the ability of sight, that was mostly what the city had as well. Perhaps he could try something different instead.

"Yes, I am a shifter. You did not think I was a normal human did you?" she purposefully left out the bit about being a witch. She did not want to shock the guy twice in one night. "I have a lot to learn yet about shifting, but there are a few forms I can take."

"Ah i thought you were, i guess you could consider your self lucky then. Or just as well i could count my self as lucky too." Ickaru put his hands in his pockets and looked up at the sky. "Most of the people around here that i sense are just normal humans who have the sight."

"Just the Sight? That's terrible. To see all the wonder around you but to be unable to interact with it. For those without something to protect them will fall as easy prey to the Sidhe and other Beings of this world. To See without protection is a terrible thing."

"Yes, far to easy prey. But I don't really like to much of a challenge. I'm not one to try and get something that I would obviously lose over if they decided to fight." He was slowly letting it out, wondering how she would take it when she figured it out, even if he would still die for taking such a risk as to tell her what he does.
